Clinical Updates & Reminders (updated 7/14/23)
- The MED Alcohol Withdrawal PowerPlan will be updated on 07/17 and includes several major changes:
- Addition of optional “front-loaded dosing prophylaxis” section
- Chlordiazepoxide OR phenobarbital loading dose
- Addition of phenobarbital taper to the “scheduled withdrawal prophylaxis” section
- Addition of diazepam to “symptom-based withdrawal prophylaxis” section
- Addition of optional “front-loaded dosing prophylaxis” section
- Notify the heart failure attending of any heart failure patients 24/7 who are being admitted (Advanced Heart Failure)
- CT/XR delayed? Send the MRN to Jen especially cases of being sent to 'outpatient list'
- Remember to document your imaging interpretation. This can easily be done with a macro.
